Hello all!

I'm new here, and play Diablo3 still waiting for the pvp, but as I mentioned a bit in introduction thread and got permission for the ad., I also play good old 1.09 Diablo 2 on a private server called D2Region ( www.d2region.com )
The server works very well, though after Diablo 3, the player base took a hit, which we are reviving right now.

Personally, I think the server is incredible, I loved D2 .09 and d2region delivers the good old experience of those days.
There's few improvements like:
-extended cow level for leveling
-rushing & leveling 1-99 made easier
-starter items for PvM and better % for crafting  items (reducing the gear gap between players)

There's already one version of written pvp rules, but since many of the actives are from US pvp-leagues from 09, the rules are a tad different from i.e. euro-pvp. But rules can always be added/modified.

how many users online? are there any 1.09 tournaments? main site seems not working (forbidden).

Unfortunately currently we have only 1-5people online daily, as I mentioned, due to D3 we took a hit in playerbase 
I had a break too then but now we are trying to bring it back to life and bring people back to d2.

Before D3 and still during summer we had dozens of people online and full duel games
We have had several tournaments organised also and one active sign-in on going (for the process of getting people active again) which'll happen as soon as there's people & geared up.
The few of us active are ready to rush & help as much as possible and distribute gear out too.

Also Kalans is working on a new patch to be released and there's topic open for suggestions on additions for the server.

Bad news is that ping is very cruel to us, foreigners, no UK's.... so expect 450+, no sorc playable definitely. Other than that it seems fine. Still waiting for some duel games, its too early there... 7:48 AM. ^^

we had 1.09 pvp server but it's dead now some 1.11 euro-pvp and pcl tournaments are still going on but attendance is very low (less than 20 players per tournament). D2 time is over. waiting for pvp in d3

yeah, attendance on D2Region currently is very low too, but hopefully it wont be totally dead and even rises. Have managed to attract few people from here to test it out already
