Hi fellow pvp guys!
So I was told this is the d3 board of the former angrenost guys.
Is this gonna be an international board? Or are you going to cook your own polish soup?
Any other european players here? Any ex- EP, Duellliga, AoW, Postreality, PCL (or even d2jsp) guys around?

"D3CL is a new Diablo 3 organization established by Polish Clan League, Angrenost Realm and BNPL. It's goal is to create community based both on polish and international players. We also want to build our own Pvp League in the nearest future if possible, but it's all in Blizzard hands now.

Afaik, there are dozens of pcl guys here and there will come ex-ep & ex-pr players too, some of them are already here, like Saesa ( or myself ;p ), who will be moderating Czech/Slovak community here.

We'll do our best to create international league. Of course, players from Poland will be the basis because for now, almost all users on this forum are from Poland and our previous activities were made especially for them.

Last time I've played in a pcl tour, that was around 2008 I think. Quit d2 around that time as well since nothing was goin on @ ep and language barriers were just too heavy to play in a polish league. Most of you surely will remember Big.Evil I think, he's a close friend of mine and won some of your 1v1 tours I think.
PCL, I remember as a very competitive community with huge userbase. Looking forward to your attempts of creating a competitive environment for d3, but well let's see what d3 is gonna bring us, pvp wise.

Dont overestimate the brand, our is also strong, but d3 is whole new beggining, we might gather hundreds of d2 players but thats just for a start.

we'll have the advance in the polish scene but not in the european. actually, even on our scene there were several big and one may think - undestructible leagues and all they have fallen down. hope ep will share their fate too :)

I am in contact with pvp-viking yes, but his plans to create a new brand of ep for d3 died when he was waiting for the release .... I think.
This are just assumptions, but he hasn't told me what he's up to these days. Not very talkactive guy. Maybe busy with studies.
Anyone knows what spirals is doing? Still playing classic amazon xD? Did you see some of the skandinavian guys?

I will not begin anything, nor will pvpviking.
We came toghether at some point and had some excellent plans, toghether with a very nice website pvpviking created but it was to soon after the initial announcement of d3. We decided to stop and I decided (for several reasons) not to get involved in a new community as administrator.
I can point this place out to the classic userbase which I ran up until some months ago.
What Rostedt and the SU guys are doing: I have no clue.
I have good and warm contact with the IMP clan: I know Gun was working on some project aswell but I haven't heard anything from him and I did post D3CL in our IMP guild@jsp.
However, I am willing to help out so if there is any need you can draw upon my experience.

In addition:
If you have the ambition to become a big European league for d3 I would advice making English the leading language for all visible boards - with the exception of the clan boards (which can be made private and invisible for invited users)for example. This may not fall good with the polish userbase but it will make the site way more attractive for new users AND the old EP/PR/AOW/DL userbases.

We do not want to completely dispense with the Polish section. We'd like to cultivate its long time tradition. Of course, we understand that this may deter foreign players, but it hope we'll be able to reconcile. Thats why English borad is the first section.
When everything get started we'll be interested in cooperation with all those people who have experience in this type of organization :)

Ok Spirals, nice to have you back and thanks for spreading the word. As far as the language matters are concerned, we set the English language to be the default one here and the Euro/English section and subforums are also on the top of the page. Certainly, we do plan to become a big European PvP/TvT league (if not the only one as well) so we'll be doing necessary changes/fixes and tweaks as the time passes and our user database (and users' needs) grows, no doubt about that. I'm 100 % sure our D3CL team together with players can achieve the ultimate goal in that perspective :)

Our goal is to make english section the center of D3CL, it's core. However we also want to host natonial sections, pol is already there, because we have huge pol community around ( + many poles from AR/PCL/BNPL/D2CL dont speak english very well ;p ). In the nearest future we should have Czech section too and then hopefully many others.

Anyway, Jorrit i gave up the work since it was very frustrating to have a side ready and its changed right after by blizzard. You dont played the beta as long as i did, but i can tell you, i couldnt count how often they changed the skillsystem or how often they changed the statsystem. And after a while you give up, especially when your less then a hand full. So i wont host any side or board with the release of Diablo3.
But when you need help with inside game knowledge or anything else related to Diablo3, let me know.

hey this sounds really disappointing, gun doesn't , pvp-viking doesn't and also spirals doesn't seem set up anything. I know you polish guys have/had a strong playerbase, but I'm not sure what kind of plans you have.
I have been thinking about this topic several times, if you're interested to hear my ideas, let me know. Although my idea, ideally takes place in the following scenario: europes leading, unrivaled DIII PVP community, one place to gather them all, league, scene, semi pro level + much more. In general a contradiction to the situation we had in DII, many different places, many different leagues with low playerbase and no appeal to partners in gaming industry & gaming scene.
You guys at d3cl should clearly communicate what you are intending to do, another little pvp community with XXX members wont suffice, in my honest opinion.
On the other side, as Gun already mentioned, we all don't know what we can expect from DIII PvP, so we can't make up any ideas together until we do, or Blizzard tells us what they plan to do in before of the pvp patch/release.

Well we want to be prepared perfectly enough and ready with the website/forums and necessary promotion before the release day of Diablo III. Don't feel disappointed because I've spent enough time on euro-pvp.net forums, moderating that place for couple of years and then I created the euro-pvp.org community from scratch (from a technical perspective too) when Rostedt and Kaamos decided to put an end to their project. Spirals is my dear friend and I asked him back then to help me with managing my project once I established it. As Rogh posted above, we'll be focusing on the international league/players and our goal is to create a large (if not the largest) D3 pvp community. My personal aim is to spread the word among all AoW/EP league players that I have known for like 13-14 years now to bring them here. Our ultimate goal is to merge all serious Diablo PvP leagues/communities from the past to establish one, great community for every player out there, that is D3CL. We have enough manpower (and even more on the horizon), skilled programmers as well as experienced moderators/admins (and players) who are dedicated and know the game like the back of their hand :)
Don't hesitate to post your suggestions because we need your feedback as it's essential for making this place the best possible community for the players.

Yes, Pat, both on euro-pvp.net and euro-pvp.org. If you were a member of euro-pvp.org you should remember that since I created that place and my nick was in every news posted on the website (not mentioning the forums). About your ideas sharing - we can always talk in private if you need to.

Well actually we cant really share idea´s about a pvp board. I would love to, but we cant. So by now its all about the gameplay and classes. Or in other words, create a place to meet up and promote this place.
Blizzard learned so much with World of Warcraft as you can see at the official side. You have a skill and rune calculator, all items, patterns, plans, gems and whatever, everything is named and implemented. In the beginning of the beta, i was calculating statweights and stat mathematics. Forget about it, most of them have a linear function. Stats are designed for a 6years old atm. Even the upgrade cost of the blacksmith are calculated by blizzard. Im happy and at the same time empty, theres not much to do ^^
So PvP ? What do you know about it ? Nothing has shown up in the beta, nothing was really stated by blizzard. When dont know anything about the desing, neigther we dont know anything when we will have PvP implemented in the game. The last interviews with Bashiok sound more like "Look how casual I am". Im really aware about this part of the game. What if we will have a "I found this cool Sword, lets kill some Guys in the Arena" -version ? Without any effort, except a banner noboby is really noticing.
Not that i want to sound like a pessimist, but we should definatly face the fact, D3 will be a waaaaay different compared to D2. There wont be any community who create specific rules. No selfmade tournaments. In the best scenario we will find a WoW like Arena-system with public rankings. This would be also cool, but thats definatly the best case of all.

Don't be so pessimistic gun, we can hope at least. And if there is a positive sign at the horizont in regards of pvp awesomeness, we, the former DII pvp community (in europe) should establish and profit of it (in europe). A sophisticated plan is key, I think.
Also wow rated arena wasn't explicitly a bad experience, it can succeed, it just doesn't/didn't work out in within the flawed mechanics/environment of wow.

Your words have a valid point gunja but I think it would be wise to consider and work out the options which could be put before us by Blizzard so that when we actually know which global way it's going to take we can polish and expand a possible route. Richi (that was your name right? :-[) sees it like me: being prepared by knowing a global take on the options and thus being able to anticipate and build.
Even if Blizzard chews it out for us, we still control the char and if Blizzard can manage to make pvp a good and satisfactory event - it would be very easy for us! Let them do the work.

Gun, youre writing very dark scenario, but imo we simply need custom arenas or other place where anyone can duel anyone. And with that we can think about sth more than just happy random duels. Hopefully, we will have big community, decent website & forums and maybe some sponsors like PCL used to have in D2. With all that we might manage to do sth big on pvp ground ;)
P.s. And if not, im looking forward to play with You on hardcore once again, d3 this time ;)

Posting on the d3 feedback for pvp is actually a point which I considered
Earlier on I decided against it because I felt 'lonely' in a board which is not inhabited by people who would listen and would take the discussion to places I wouldn't want it go - I believed that it would harm the cause more. But maybe now is the time to come up with important points for us.
Speaking on behalf of a big and active userbase with clear definitions and such would stand much more of a chance to get anywhere. For that to work we will need to define what will be important for us & where we stand for & who will represent us... :)
but, and that should be taken up as constructive feedback: we need more active members - on our history alone we will not have enough 'authority' - but combined with a userbase of say 1k active people you will be considered a big player.
question: d2jsp is the center of the current d2 world - did you guys contact d2jsp about advertising / making the site known or do you have any other decisions there?

d2jsp will probably delete our advertisment as they did in the past. maybe if we ask for, they won't do that. But first we have to finish portal. Layout is ready now so I think it takes about 2 weeks for offcial start.

Well yes Gun, I also think that the arena/matchmaking system will be like/very similar to that one in WoW BUT I also believe (tbh I'm quite sure about that) Blizzard will add the option to play custom 1vs1 duels and maybe custom tvt matches as well - pretty much like in WoW, where both players need to accept the duel before it actually begins. That would be the perfect solution for Blizzard to also avoid the situation where pure RP/PvE players whine about PKs.
As for the posting on the official eu.battle.net/diablo forums (like diablofans.com etc.)- of course we do plan to do so in the upcoming week(s). We'll also use our official D3CL twitter's profile to ask Bashiok/Diablo3Official directly about different aspects/mechanics of the game that interest/bother us both as players and the whole D3CL community. Moreover, we want to set up our FB fanpage and we have also many other interesting ideas coming to life soon :)

As an advice, dont post anything on europes official forums. Thats like talking with a group of apes, unseen and unheared. US Beta forums or directly via Twitter as you said.
Where did you read about custom PvP matchups ? Did i missed the blue or this just a personal feeling, Pat ?
And as a side, personally i am a fan of the WoW Arena System. Its way more professional and better then D2 selfmade PvP areas.

Our main focus will be on Twitter/FB fanpage. As for custom PvP matchups - tbh that's my personal opinion and belief especially when we talk about 1vs1 duels. Yes you're right Gun, I've been playing WoW since the release day and I really like the concept of arena system too. Therefore I think we'll be able to play at least 1vs1 custom duels in addition to the ready-made arena system.
P.S. I hope Bashiok will answer my question about possible custom duels soon.

This would be a dream, if duels are customizable. I think they dont want to be pushed into the "eSport" section. Its a fun game and they fear of a balancing problem. Thats how i understand them. Customization would solve alot of things for them. GuildWars2 implemented this feature and im sure this is the right direction for non eSport games, to create a powerful playerbase.

Hey, guys!
I am Garn (CZE). I am an author, translator at a soon-to-be-official (hopefully =) Diablo 3 fansite named DiabloFans.cz. Saesa brought me here to say something - so here we go.
At this moment we are the biggest Czech Diablo fansite with up to 5000 unique IP visitors per day. We also provide Diablo forums and a TwitchTV channel where we present Diablo 3 news weekly and do some podcasts and interviews.
I am personally very excited about this project (D3CL) in spite of the fact that we wanna do something like this as well, but without the experience and only at a national level. So I believe there is no reason why shouldn't we cooperate and tell Czech players about this project.
If there is a spectator mode we could probably provide some commentary and live streams for your league matches and tournaments. Our priority is to broadcast in Czech, but it could help you as well (more players from Czech/Slovak republic will be interested in D3CL) and later after a discussion we can also provide English commentary if you're interested. ;)

Yeah, our goal is to create international pvp community, right now mainly poles are around, but hopefully, thanks to joining to our crew few admins of Euro-PvP community and thanks to upcoming english website d3cl.com, we will be able to make it trully international, we have expierence in doing so. Also, we want to create as many language ( national ) sections on our forums as possible, to make it easier for all players not very familiar and fluent in english.

I think that there is no turning back, most of us got bored some time ago, some of us years ago ;p 12 years since d2 realease is simply to long, id rather saythat if diablo 3 wont be that exciting, we will come back to wow or wait for gw2 or lineage eternal or w/e :)
But im optimist, im sure that d3 will keep most of us excited for years.

Since the beta launch I have more than 300 hours played... For me the Diablo III beta is much more entertaining game than any other AAA title and even than Diablo II. ;)

Well... it's not that much. I have beta since 27th October 2011. It's only 20 hours per beta patch approx.

I dont think so. D2 is so much exhausted. There no option to support any league or sth for this game anymore because of expected lack of players. we've done so many "magical" things such us 16 players in game, anticheat, additional command, transfering ar gold in game to server database any much more... but this is not interesting anymore :) Similar situation was when D2 came. A lot of players declared return to D1 but most of them stayed with D2. I think now would be the same.

There were character wipes and some moderate changes. If you wanna level up all characters and let's say "try out some new things" that's the 20 hours + you get bored during school lectures and you have university wi-fi connection there... :D

We played late 1.09+ on Postreality and then in Euro-PvP but we also played in AoW and DL tournaments from time to time.

Hi :) I only played 2 weeks ago in a open beta weekend and I tried DemonHunter. I liked how the game interface is atm. There is a detailed character screen that counts MF :P no more manual counting is so good.
Do you know if there are more open beta weekends until game launches?
