D3CL support & feedback / Re: trade section
« on: June 02, 2012, 15:57:56 pm  »
There may be other forums in which d3 matters are spoken better than this (my native tongue is english so i have no choice in the matter), but you have to cut through 5 layers of crap posts and total bullshit to get to what you need. Just remember people are not here flaming the hell out of you, although their posts seem harsh, they're trying to help as we all have share a common interest in creating the basis for a better community, and they don't want to see it go down the toilet. Now, I'm sure alot of people are currently prefering spending their time playing the game rather than talking about it, but soon enough you will get more ways of bringing people in i.e. build guides, stratergy guides, farming guides etc etc. Just be patient, rome wasn't built in a day afterall!

Personally I was about average in PvP in relation to those who were the best whilst I played, who bo doubt only peaked once people better than them had moved on also. But that doesn't mean I've not come here to play prior to PvP patch release either.

All you need to remember is the community is built on the members in it, if you're putting (or pissing) people off now then you may loose some assets at the start.

I agree there are still improvements to be made but I don't think you've made a bad start thus far.

Sure, these are the suggestions I found trawling bnet forums, and in no particular order:

Make sure you're running in admin mode, or run the install in admin mode via right click properties

Make sure that secondary login is not disabled: Control Panel > Security > Admin Tools >  Services > Secondary Login > Properties
Then Disabled to Automatic

Run task manager and stop the agent.exe program (i found it only runs once you establish the instalation process after the agreement is done)

Restart PC

Change the install location from program files x86 to program files

Update Graphics driver (only needed for once it's fully installed in order to play it, but you might aswell get it over and done with)

Make sure you're using the corrent service pack (XP will need SP3 for example)

I've forgotten a few but you can find them with a good bit of googling. :)

Now fixed, anyone else gets this problem there's about 7 different things you may need to do . For me I had to replace the battle.net file  in c:/data to the one I had from previous installl (one that worked) and it sorted it.

So i've just bought a new PC using win 7, set up as before and now it won't get past the agreement to progress further into the install. I have already installed on my laptop so xfered it onto the new pc and that then won't progress any further on the update for game launcher.

So far I'm running it in admin mode, have restarted PC and am currently downloading game setup once again (1 hour wasted because the internet speed here is a joke, 50-60kbps d/l speed). Anyone encountered this or got any ideas? I've googled it and so far the suggestions aren't any good to me

Thanks. :/

General discussion / Re: d3 preparations

Looking for a new computer, after installing d3 I try to run it only to find that whilst my laptop was sent away to be repaired (yet again, 3 repairs and now warrenty has run out) last time they've replaced the graphics card with some piece of crap onboard option to save themselves money. Not worth upgrading so am just going to buy new far earlier than I was hoping.

*Yay* :(

meteor with comet would make it cold damage instead
Yep, I didn't check the rune system, however mby You should try Astral Presence instead of Cool Blooded because of huge cost of arcane by using arcane orb.

Have just changed that, I could also change the rune in orb to "tap the source" so it only costs 20 arcane each time, but I already have magic missile with attunement to get +4 arcane each hit also?

Cool Blooded passive skill is inappropriate cause you won't use any cold skill as I see.

meteor with comet would make it cold damage instead

just seen orb is arcane damage and not cold, shows how much attention im paying :L
